I mean, I can dig this joint. Production is pretty ill, and Amerie is a nice touch. I’m not mad at it.

Trey Songz ft. Amerie–Lets Chill [Tags]

I’m not feeling the vocals from Amerie, but then again she can’t really sing.

Amerie–Who’s Gonna Love U

Um, I guess this is ok. It’s something off about  it, but then again maybe it will grow on me? I have no clue what’s really going on musically in this song actually.

Ok, its kind of growing on me, sue me.

What do you think?

Amerie–In Love and War: Release Date–November 3, 2009

Amerie’s long awaited album, In Love and War has finally dropped, and I must say that the production of this album is very well put together.  This refreshing album is sure to hit the Billboard charts with good standing. The entire album seems to embody this throwback feeling, as her first single Why R U is a clear reflection of the early 90’s. As usual, Amerie offers those spectacular drums, as she comes out with a bang with the first track Tell Me You Love Me. Although I would have preferred a proper Intro track, Tell Me You Love Me has a demanding sound that will draw any functioning ear to continue listening.

With guest appearances by Trey Songz on Pretty Brown, Amerie continues down her journey of love and war, as they each do Mint Condition justice with this reminiscent track. Amerie seems to have mastered the art of remaining true to her sound, while exploring the sounds of the past: a task that many artists fail to accomplish. In Love and War is one of the few albums of 2009 that offers pure creativity and imagination, which is reflected perfectly in the album art and the innovative sound in Higher. Fortunately, Amerie decided to slow the album down with the mesmerizing sound in productions such as  Red Eye and The Flowers, where she explores her more sensual side.  Although there were a few skipable tracks, In Love and War is surely to be on repeat in my collection.

Along with the creative and capturing sound, the other impressive element of this production is the lack of guest appearances, which shows that Amerie’s label has high hopes in profit for In Love and War. Not only am I expecting her 4th album to do exceptionally well on Billboard’s, but her released singles should get an adequate amount of  radio play due to its upbeat sound.

Amerie–Swag Back

Another hot track off of her upcoming album, I’m hoping that all her tracks won’t be released, but who knows. This is the internet.

I like the upbeat tempo. Amerie does her thing and does it well
